About On-line Standard Mental Health First Aid Refresher

On-line Standard Refresher courses are 4 hour zoom meeting courses that allow people who have previously completed a 12 hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course to refresh their knowledge and skills. For people who are Accredited MHFAiders, the refresher courses offer an opportunity to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years. You will have an opportunity to discuss your experiences and further deepen your understanding of the issues confronting people and their mental health.

At this course you will:

  • Gain an understanding of the latest research in the mental health field
  • Learn the 3 key actions for helping someone feeling suicidal
  • Work through complex mental health first aid interactions
  • Practice mental health first aid skills.

You will then receive a link to have the opportunity to go on-line and reaccredit as a MHFAider.
