About MHFA for Non-Suicidal Self-Injury

The 4-hour Mental Health First Aid Conversations about Non-Suicidal Self-Injury course is for any interested adult.
You will learn how to assist a person who is engaging in self-injury. This course provides an opportunity to further your knowledge and skills to assist a person who engages in self-injury using videos, group activities and discussions lead by an experienced MHFA instructor.

This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

About the Presenter

Diane Hickey is an experienced mental health nurse and counsellor with extensive experience in mental health, forensic mental health and primary health care; she worked with Queensland Police Service developing face to face and online mental health training and has developed and delivered mental health awareness training. She is a certified Principal Master Trainer of MHFA. She has a relaxed and humorous presentation style that will make the experience of attending this workshop both fun and informative.
